WETLANDS

 SAVE THE CHERRY GROVE WETLANDS

Once a month we hold a vigil on Sea Mt Hwy,  Cherry Grove by the Cherry Grove Pharmacy.  This is the location of a 58 acre wetland being threatened by developers and periodically being drained.  We rally to gain public awareness.  Destroying wetlands is damaging to our ecosystem.***      Wetlands provide habitat for thousands of species of aquatic and terrestrial plants and animals. Wetlands are valuable for flood protection, water quality improvement, shoreline erosion control, natural products, recreation, and aesthetics.*** ___________________________________________

( please park away from the pharmacy and away from The Shack restaurant, as their parking is limited.)

Vigil Dates 2021:    11am to noon.

         May 22,  April 24 , June 26
